Another One Bites the Dust

January 15, 2014

Now you see itdeli2
Now you don’t

Another one bites the dust as the continental deli counter waves goodbye to Leeds Kirkgate Market after 26 years of trading. They will be sadly missed by many customers who regularly use the market.
This follows close on the heels of a number of other long-serving traders leaving — a total of 70 years customer service collectively. What a shame Kirkgate Market is being run down in this way as both customers and traders are being let down.
Without a plan and clear communication the market will continue to empty — when will councillors come to their senses?

That is a pity but is part of a general trend at the moment. Hopefully the council will recognise the error of their ways soon.
