Our next meeting…and exciting events!
Our next meeting will be on
Monday 21st March, 6pm at The Victoria Pub, Great George Street
We will be discussing our plans for our Shop At Leeds Market Day!
At our last meeting we discussed an event for the 7th of May where people are challenged to shop only at Leeds Market for that day or even that week. It will show what a great resource the Kirkgate Market is where you can do all the shopping under one roof from food to home ware, with affordable prices, benefiting the local economy and with less carbon footprint.
On Monday 21st we are meeting to further plan this event. We will need volunteers for the day to liaise with customers and promote our cause on the day and in preparation. We need to design, print and disseminate posters, people to help on the day manning a stall, running a tombola and coordinating links to social media and the press.
